My family & I moved back home to England in September 2008 after living in Alaska for two years where my husband worked for a leading Mountain Expedition Company.
Inspired by the Alaskan flora & fauna I took this opportunity to paint a collection of work to sell in a gallery in Anchorage which proved to be a great success.
I am self taught and so without formal training had not had the confidence to promote my work for sale.
Over the years I have done commissions of landscapes and animal portraits for family and friends. One of which I entered into the 'NOT the Turner Prize' hosted by the Daily Mail and was one of the 400 finalists chosen from 10,000 entries to have their work hanging at the Prestigious Mall Galleries in London.
At the same time My husband Tim and I were embarking on the first part of a two year trip around the world. Our first stop Alaska for an extended stay of 6 months we just fell in love with the place. It was after this initial visit that we returned two years later for Tim to fulfill his mountaineering dream.
